I have always been a big believer in using natural products for your skin, although until recently I had no idea the extent of harm a lot of the conventional skin care products can have on us in the long run. With so many products on the market these days it can be hard to determine whats right for your skin!

Our skin is our largest organ of the body, the cover to our story, our leading presence and yet it can be the first thing we neglect at times. Many of us are blessed with resilient skin that can weather the storm of left on makeup, poor skin routines, chemical based products and more. But for many the reality is the opposite, with sensitive skin, inflammatory skin conditions and frequent blemishes its important to know what you are using on your skin.
This is one of the reasons behind my creation of Bobeh.Co, to empower women (and men if they like) with great healthy skin. Embarking on the journey of developing our natural product range I came across a lot of research that pointed out some very scary facts about conventional skin care recipes.
The reality is that Natural Skincare products are often just as effective as the others and often provide natural long lasting relief. Although it can sometimes be cheaper to buy synthetic, toxic ingredient based products please DON’T unless medically instructed.
Many of the conventional skincare products on the market use ingredients containing endocine-disrupting phthalates which to us non science folk means chemicals that can interfere with the production of hormones!! Yikes. Many products also contain Parabens, which studies have linked to breast cancer, infertility in males and Estrogenicity-related diseases.
Make sure to keep an eye out for the below nasties on your cosmetic bottles, for a skincare product to be truly natural it must not contact the following (Artificial (Synthetic) colours and fragrances, Isopropyl Alcohol, Parabens (Methyl-, Propyl-, Butyl-, and Ethyl-), Phthalates, Sodium Lauryl (Laureth) Sulfate, Ureas (Imidazolindinyl, Diazolidinyl, DMDM) , Diethanolamine (DEA), Triethanolamine (TEA), Monoethanolamine (MEA) , Formaldehyde.
